Lights, Camera, and....Action!

My favorite movie as a kid was The Lion King. I watched it over, and over. I would keep rewinding (we didn’t have DVDs then) it just to play it again. I had Lion King everything. Plates, spoons, forks, knives, cups, blankets, stuffed animals, pajamas, shoes, hats, shirts, and more! I deeply enjoyed the story of how a young lion could grow up and defeat his evil uncle. This is probably why I enjoy the play Hamlet today.

I don’t enjoy watching movies that are very gory. I love action films, I love horror, and I love war movies. But when a person is holding his/her guts or they are running around losing what is obviously more blood than the human body can hold, it’s stupid. I can take am arm being blown off from enemy shelling, or someone getting shot, or even a person getting stabbed repeatedly. But when a person saws off their own arm or the like, it is just too much and I do not enjoy it.

I watch movies when I am suppose to be doing my homework. I often just stay at home while watching them and I enjoy being either be myself or with a member or two of my family. I don’t normally watch movies with friends, and I rarely go out and attend a theatre. I often enjoy candy, popcorn, a drink (normally pop like IBC root beer or like mountain dew, but I will drink water), and a warm place to relax.

My movie watching personality is:
YOU ARE 92% EXTRAVERTED.
You are extraverted, outgoing, active and high-spirited. You prefer to be around people most of the time.
YOU ARE 50% AGREEABLE.
You are generally warm, trusting, and agreeable, but you can sometimes be stubborn and competitive.
YOU ARE 42% CONSCIENTIOUS.
You are easygoing, not very well organised, and sometimes careless. You prefer not to make plans.
YOU ARE 75% EMOTIONALLY STABLE.
You are generally calm and able to deal with stress, but you sometimes experience feelings of guilt, anger and sadness.
YOU ARE 50% OPEN TO NEW EXPERIENCES.
You are down-to-earth, practical, traditional, and pretty much set in your ways.

If my life story was made into a movie, then it would be a lot like Farris Bueller’s Day Off. Kids would a lot more of how to get away with stuff, and the world would know how a lot of trouble was originally caused. Also, boredom for kids would probably have to be put to a stop. That’s how trouble starts. Also, parents wouldn’t like my movie/life. Kids would love it though.

Picture Perfect

This is the gold
That had been fought over
By so many.
This is the leather jacket
A nerd wore so proud
To stay warm and stay cool.

This is before the dirt
Covered his best friend.
This is before the ground
Took his oldest comrade.

Window Poem

Trees in a line,
Across the open grass.
Cows walking and eating,
While birds fly past.

On the left is a pond,
Shallow, but deep.
Full of memories of fishing,
And of turtles we keep.

Today there is a wolf.
Hunting, stalking my cattle.
He is all alone,
He would not be a battle.

Always the view is beautiful,
So open and free.
Sometimes it is dead,
Yet it lives in me.

The trees are bare,
It is a scene of gray.
Beautiful as it is now,
A blanket of snow on it lay.

Something moves in the trees,
As pale and whispy as the wind.
It will wait in the dark woods,
Until its help it can lend.

The Honeymoon

We were in love.
So we got married.
She told me that going to
Hawaii would be the best honeymoon ever.
She was wrong.

This is day 79 of us being lost.
It’s a good thing I watched
a lot of TV when I was younger,
or else we would both be dead.

The plane crashed
in the ocean
near this uninhabited island
in the pacific. Most of the people
got from the crash site to the island
with the help of others.

With all the people on that island,
things went out of control quickly.
About 20 days in,
the first person was killed.
They didn’t die, they were killed;
murdered.

After that, anyone who went against John,
our self-proclaimed leader,
was found dead soon after they went against him.
He wanted a boat built.
Just a small one for fishing;
or so he said.

I found him one night,
close to when the boat
was suppose to be finished,
hiding supplies like food
and hunting equipment
near the launch site.

I knew that when he launched himself,
he was only trying to get away.
So I did what I had to
To keep my new wife and me alive.
I already knew that the boat
could make it far enough away
to not allow for anyone to follow us.

So that same night
I took my wife away from it all.
We took the supplies
John had been hiding,
 packed our things,
and shipped off.

We had found another island,
one a little larger
and much better to live on
with fishing,
hunting, and
forging opportunities.

We could actually live here.
I built my wife a swing
the first day we were there,
to help her cope with the move.

As darkness fell
on our second day
on this new island,
we heard the screams.
The screams of our old friends;
our fellow survivors.

As we heard their screams pierce the night air
my wife swung in her swing,
and I walked to the shore;
thinking the whole time
how that could’ve been us;
how John would’ve done that
to us.

The Dance of War

Red for passion,
Red for blood.
Red for courage,
Red in the mud.
My passion for her grows,
As does the glory of war.
I want to be by her side,
But my country needs me more.
So I go now to war,
And leave my family small.
With my wife I leave a kiss,
And my unborn son a ball.

Yeah, I Know It, I'm a Poet!

Peace is wonderful,
War is inevitable,
Death is certain.

Multi-colored roads,
The future is all around.
Flowers all around,
Flowers are now striped here,
Triangle bots surround me.

Honorably
Outstanding
Upper class,
Sweet little,
Esatable home.

The Cake Poem

Stay with me I can make,
I can make good cake.
The oven is ready,
So is the pan shaped like teddy.

So now we just need the mix,
And we also need some trix.
But those are just for kids,
So instead we pop some lids.

Grab the keys to the car,
Cause we need to go far.
Turn on the tunes,
We leave’n the boons.
Docks that is,
Mike, me, and Liz.

We get back and they wanna leave,
Saying its to late in the eve.
But I say, “stay with me I can make,
I can make good cake.”
